The starting point
Estimates suggest that 97.2% of the world's female population lives with a condition long trivialised or dismissed as “just an aesthetic problem”. In fact, it is the most widespread aesthetic condition in the world.
Cellulite makes no distinction of age, weight or lifestyle: it affects young and mature women, athletes and sedentary, slim and curvy. For millions it is a persistent condition, resistant to most traditional treatments.

Cellulite is characterised by chronic inflammation, fibrosis and irregularity of the skin surface. It does not depend solely on diet or physical activity.
At its root is an alteration of the fibrous septa connecting the skin to deeper layers: they stiffen, pull the skin downwards and create the typical dimples.
As the suffix “-itis” suggests, it is a multifactorial, multilayer process involving septa, microcirculation, vascular tissue and the lymphatic system. Once it appears, it tends not to resolve spontaneously.

Devices, massages, radiofrequency, shockwaves, mesotherapy and creams can temporarily improve the look of the skin, but they do not deliver a stable result over time: they don't address the structural component.
